
on sunday we decided to go and see the two smaller islands right next to the island of montréal:
île sainte hélène and
île notre-dame. the latter was created with the debris of the construction works for the metro line connecting the first to montréal. these islands hosted the
1967 universal exposition, leaving us until now with some interesting buildings, such as montréal's
casino (french pavilion) and the
biosphere (united states pavilion), a giant sphere, now a
museum analysing all the aspects of water in our environment.
