parc omega describes itself as "an oasis of nature for a moment of happiness". one could also describe it as a "safari canada style", or the "canadian wildlife traffic jam experience".

parc omega, an hour or so west of montreal, allows you to drive your car through a semi wild landscape, full of wapitis, red deers, bizons, wolves, wild boars, black bears, etc. pretty impressive for us city people. because the animals are often being fed by the visitors (who are sitting in their cars), they come quite close to the cars, sometimes even putting their heads inside (that's the deers and wapitis we're talking about here). a couple of bizons who refused to move away from the road even caused a funny traffic jam in the middle of the parc. one advice: do not wash your car before going to parc omega. (
quicktime movie of 8 mb. with music by the books).
