sérénade
"marie est l'étoile du canada" is written on the ceiling of the portal of the beautiful "chapelle notre-dame-du-bon-secours" in vieux-montréal. we were there to see a concert of the chamber orchestra 'sérénade', in which one of marie's colleagues plays viola. after the concert i asked him if he knew an orchestra in search of a flute player (me!), but alas ... it seems that my quest for an orchestra won't be easy!

Why is there a model of a red cargo container ship hanging on the ceiling?
Hey Pieters (even though i don't know who is the first one ..?),
I think the chapel is a place where people used to pray for the boats to come back home safely (hence also the name 'de bonsecours'). So they put up boats (with little lights!) hanging from the ceiling everywhere in the chapel - kind of cute ...
